This is the first and only cc meetup held in Malaysia with never-before held non-wca events in the country (e.g., axis cube, 2x2x3 Cuboid, 2x3x3 Cuboid etc), hence justifying the need for this meetup to be held due to the limited opportunities for Malaysian cubers to submit results given the absence of comps with such events.
